The Cup of Joe for the Day: How to keep and Build a Relationship

My husband and I have been married six months and It has been very enlightening since the day we both said I do. We are learning something new about each other everyday and no it is not always peaches and creme BUT I have THREE pointers that are helping my marriage stay strong and continue to grow.

Respect ( Men thrive off this ladies!)

Respect Your Partner. Your partner’s wishes and feelings have value. Let your significant other know you are making an effort to keep their ideas in mind. Mutual respect is essential in maintaining healthy relationships.

Love( women thrive off this gentlemen!)

Love your Partner. Making sure that your partner has a connection with you all the time is very important. You need make sure that you are intimate all the time and being intimate does not mean just sex either. You and your partner can be intimate by looking in each others eyes when talking, going on walks, taking time to talk to each other about things that interest you both, the list goes on and on. Your partner should not have a doubt in their mind that there spouse loves them. Your actions speak for themselves whether it is a friendship or a romance. Make sure your partner SEE’S the love as well.

Have Fun

Having Fun with your partner. You and your partner should always make everything you do as fun as possible. I do not care if it is yard work and house chores make the day exciting! Go on dates to places you guys have never been before and throw a silly date in there to make things interesting. When your having fun in your relationship you guys are bonding and keeping the friendship part of the relationship alive. I know not everyday will be fun or positive day but thats what you guys have each other for, to keep the other one at bay and comfortable.

I hope that you guys got something out of this post today. My husband and I are currently practicing the three things above and so far we have no complaints. Being in a relationship takes patients and nothing happens over night. When you put your selfish ways aside and start thinking about how you can make the other happy then your on the right track to having a life long Successful relationship.
